This autonomous
Institute funded by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare is an apex technical
Institute for promoting Health and Family Welfare Programs in the country
through Education and Training, Research and Evaluation, Consultancy, Advisory
and specialized services.
The
Institute invites applications for the following posts:
1. Professor
(Epidemiology): One post (Unreserved – on contract)
Educational
qualifications
Essential:
·
Medical
qualification included in the first or the second schedule or part II of the
third schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical
Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in part II of
the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in section
13(3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
·
Post-graduate
degree such as MD (CHA)/MD (PSM)/MD (Community Medicine) or an equivalent
degree of a recognized University / Institute.
·
Four years
experience as Reader/Associate Professor in the subject concerned in a Medical
College or in an equivalent grade in a research/training institution.
·
Evidence of
published work of high quality during the last 4 years.
Desirable:
·
Three years
administrative experience in responsible position.
·
Experience
in training/planning and conducting epidemiological studies/surveys.
2.
Assistant Professor (Statistics & Demography): One post
(Reserved for OBC)
·
Scale of pay: Rs.15600-39100 + AGP 6000
·
Age limit:
Upto 35 years. (Relaxable upto 5 years for govt. servants and employees of
autonomous Institutes under Govt.)
Educational and other qualifications
Essential:
·
Good academic record with atleast 50% marks in
Master’s degree in Statistics or Demography or Mathematics with Statistics from
a recognized University / Institution.

2) A
doctoral degree in any branch of Statistics / Demography / Mathematics with
Statistics from a recognized University / Institute.
Desirable:
·
Experience
in the field of Health and Family Welfare.
3. Assistant Professor (RBM-Clinic) : One post (Reserved for OH
& OBC)

Scale of pay
– Rs.15600-39100+AGP 6000 + NPA
·
Age limit:
Upto 35 years. (Relaxable upto 5 years for govt. servants and employees of
Autonomous Institutes under Govt.)
Educational
and other qualifications
Essential:
·
Medical

5. Assistant Professor (P&E) : One post (UR - Leave vacancy,
likely to be regular)

Educational

communication/Mass communication/ Journalism etc. from a recognized University
/ Institution.

A doctoral
degree in communication/any branch of Health Communication and Extension
Education from a recognized University / Institute.
Desirable:
·
Teaching
experience at college or University level.
·
Work
experience in any area of Mass Communication (Newspaper/Magazine, News Agency,
Public Relations Advertising, Radio or TV Journalism etc.) in Health and Family
Welfare.
6. Assistant Professor (Sociology) : One post (UR)

Essential:

7. Medical Officer (Male) (Reproductive Bio-Medicine): - One Post (UR)
·
Scale of
pay: Rs.15600-39100 + GP 5400 + NPA
·
Age limit:
Upto 40 years. (Relaxable upto 10 years for govt. servants and employees of
autonomous Institutes under Govt.)
Educational
and other qualifications
Essential:
·
A recognized
medical qualification in the first or the second schedule (other than
licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of
educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third schedule should
also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub section (3) of 13 of the Indian
Medical Council Act, 1956.
·
One years’
house job in Paediatrics/Obstetrics and Gynaecology/ Medicine/ Maternal &
Child Health Care Surgery.
Desirable
·
At least 3
years experience in providing in the field of family planning/ including
Infertility/ Obstetrics & Gynaecology/ Surgery/ Paediatrics/ Maternal and
Child Health Care or any other related field in a recognized Institution.
